Mental Health Matters: An Oakland Fall Festival

MOCHA By Marie is hosting their first annual "Mental Health Matters" fall festival, sponsored by Blue Shield. Various organizations will be sharing resources to bring awareness to mental health. Our goal is to start conversations to help break the stigmas around discussing it and shine light on everyday things you can do to help you maintain. There will be free massages, free haircuts, face painting, food vendors and a raffle.

Town Hall on Racism in the Trump Administration

A town hall organized by the Equal Justice Society and Free Speech for People will feature speakers on how the racist policies and rhetoric of the Trump administration and its appointees have harmed people of color.

Census 2020 Ambassador Program

Are you a trusted messenger and wish to lead outreach in your community? Apply to join Alameda County's Census Ambassador Program!

What is it? A once in a decade chance to count everyone to bring money, data, and decision makers to our communities.

Why does it matter? Alameda County has 413,000 residents who are considered “Hard-to-Count,” such as seniors, young children, immigrants, and low income individuals.

What can you do to ensure our community counts? As trusted community members, we invite you to volunteer as an Ambassador to educate residents about the census and motivate your communities to get counted.

  • Become an Expert on Census 2020
  • Conduct Outreach in Your Community
  • Keep Your Community Informed
  • Access Ambassador-Exclusive Resources

He is best known for his song “Don’t Laugh At Me” which is the impetus for an anti bullying program used in 30,000 schools.
