ALAMEDA COUNTY TO HOLD TRUTH ACT FORUM ON OCTOBER 1
In 2016, Governor Brown signed the TRUTH Act into law.
Beginning in 2018, the TRUTH Act requires the local governing body of any
county in which a local law enforcement agency has provided Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE) access to an individual during the prior year to hold
at least one public community forum during the following year to provide
information to the public about ICE’s access to individuals and to receive and
consider public comment.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Alameda County Probation Department, and Immigrant Legal Resource Center will make presentations at this meeting.
The Board of Supervisors welcomes you to the 2018 TRUTH
