OPEN HOUSE EVENTS NEXT WEEK
 The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility is currently designing a corridor improvement project on Fairview Avenue from Wetmore Road to Grant Road funded by a combination of voter-approved Tucson Delivers: Strong Connections and Tucson Delivers: Safe Streets programs. The community is invited to attend an Open House to provide input on proposed roadway options, meet with the project team, and learn more about the project improvements.

The Fairview Avenue Safety and Modernization Project will improve safety, pavement condition, pedestrian access, and bicycle infrastructure along a 2.5-mile stretch of Fairview Avenue from Grant Road to Wetmore Road. The project includes new protected bike lanes, construction of new sidewalk, upgrades to existing sidewalks to meet ADA standards, street lighting, enhancements to street crossings, and a pavement treatment along the corridor. The project is funded by a combination of voter-approved Tucson Delivers: Strong Connections program, Tucson Delivers: Safe Streets program, and funds set aside by Mayor and Council to improve the pavement on Tucson's Collector Streets.
Initial community outreach began in Spring 2026. It included a series of open house events, a survey seeking community input on priorities for the corridor and online comment map to pinpoint community feedback along the corridor. Feedback provided has been incorporated into the current design plans that will be shown at the upcoming Open House events.
