LAP SWIM PASS REQUIRED AT CITY OF TUCSON POOLS BEGINNING SEPT. 1, 2026
Passes go on sale Aug. 24; new fall pool schedule also takes effect Aug. 31
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, a Lap Swim Pass will be required to lap swim or water walk at any City of Tucson pool. Tucson Parks and Recreation will begin selling passes on Monday, Aug. 24. Recreational swim will remain free.
Two pass options are available: a Monthly Pass and a Punch Pass, both of which can be used at any City pool offering lap swim.
Lap Swim Pass Options
Monthly Pass

Valid for use at any lap swim pool with no limit on the number of visits.

Expires one month from the date of purchase.
Non-transferable — valid only for the account holder.
Resident: $30 Non-resident: $45
Punch Pass

Valid for use at any lap swim pool.

Minimum purchase of five (5) punches required.

Punches expire one year from the date of purchase.

Resident: $10 per 5 visits Non-resident: $15 per 5 visits
How to Purchase a Lap Swim Pass
Account registration must be completed in person at the time of a swimmer's first purchase. Each member will be issued a membership barcode, which must be scanned at the pool for every lap swim or water walk visit. After the initial in-person setup, monthly pass renewals and additional punch pass purchases can be made online.
Note: Passes will not be available for purchase at pool locations, except for Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center.
