You may be a drop. Your actions create a ripple.
A new year brings inspiration to begin new habits. No matter the goal, simple actions pave the way to create a big impact.
This year, we’re stepping up the water conservation game, and we want to invite you to join us. With new resources, new incentive opportunities, and giveaways, we’ll be right by your side to guide and support you. Stay tuned!
Here are 5 water-saving actions you can start with:
-
Wash only full loads of laundry. This saves 100-500 gallons per month depending on the type of washer you have.
-
Take 10 minutes to test your toilets. Silent toilet leaks waste thousands of gallons of water. Order a dye test as part of our free conservation kit to spot leaks.
-
Do a 30-minute irrigation check. Irrigation leaks waste thousands of gallons per month and can be hard to spot. Run each section of your landscaping irrigation for 3-5 minutes, then walk that section to look for broken sprinkler heads, irrigation emitters, or wet spots where there are no plants.
-
Schedule an hour with one of our Zanjeros. These water conservation experts can help identify high water use culprits and save you thousands of gallons. When surveyed, 98% report being very satisfied with their Zanjero visit.
-
Spend 5 minutes on our website to learn about rebates that can help you save water at home.
Tucson Water is proud to celebrate our fifth year partnering with Water Use It Wisely. This program brings together more than 20 partners across Arizona with one shared goal: helping people think about water conservation every day. It encourages simple actions that turn into habits – small drops that create big ripples.

Pima County Wastewater Reclamation
Save your grease, spare your wallet!
Don’t pour your grease down the drain, where it can clog your pipes and cause expensive plumbing problems. Instead, bring your used cooking grease to Pima County’s annual grease collection event on Jan. 10, or visit our year-round recycling site at Agua Nueva Water Reclamation Facility.
