HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
WEST CORONA ROAD AND SOUTH MISSIONDALE ROAD |

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from Operations Division South responded to the intersection of West Corona Road and South Missiondale Road regarding a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they located an unconscious male laying in the roadway. Officers immediately began first aid and requested response from the Tucson Fire Department. TFD arrived and continued emergency first aid. The victim did not survive and died on scene. The victim was identified as 39-year-old Jose Luis Fierro. His family was located and notified of his passing. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to continue the investigation. No suspects were on scene or located in the area.
Officers and investigators learned that an altercation between Mr. Fierro and an unknown person occurred in the roadway which resulted in Mr. Fierro sustaining injuries. Anyone with information is urged to come forward, and 88-CRIME can be used to remain anonymous. This investigation is on-going, and additional information may be released at a later date as it becomes available.
