PROPOSAL TO NAME MORRIS K. UDALL PARK BASEBALL FIELD #3 TO “CHASE RIDENOUR FIELD” 45-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD OPEN
The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation department has announced a 45-day public comment period for the proposal to name Morris K. Udall Park baseball field #3 to “Chase Ridenour Field.” The comment period begins today, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and will remain open until Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Chase Ridenour grew up in Tucson and played baseball with Sabino Canyon Little League (SCLL). Following his passing, his family has been instrumental in supporting youth baseball in the community by establishing a financial fund dedicated to SCLL. This fund helps provide capital improvements to the league and ensures that all children. The proposed naming recognizes the Ridenour family’s contributions, which have made significant improvements to field #3 possible, including the purchase of a new scoreboard.
