ZERO WASTE COLLECTION EVENT HAPPENING SATURDAY, APRIL 5
The City of Tucson's Environmental Department in partnership with community organizations is hosting a Zero Waste Collection event on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd. from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
City residents can drop off school and craft supplies, gardening tools, canning jars, housewares, books, electronic waste (E-waste), documents for shredding (limit 3 boxes), expired medications, scrap metal, and more. Please note, this is not a Household Hazardous Materials collection event. A list of vendors and accepted materials to be collected is available online.
The Tucson Zero Waste event was created in partnership with Mrs. Green's World and Goodwill of Southern Arizona in April 2022 as an opportunity to show Tucson residents numerous opportunities to donate goods, recycle, or repurpose them. It's important to remember these vendors will be taking donations on Saturday, but they accept donations year-round.
This is not a Household Hazardous Waste event. Paint, fluorescent lights, chemicals and batteries will not be accepted at this event. Please bring those to Eastside City Hall on Saturday, April 12. More information at tucsonaz.gov/hhw.
Community partners include: Goodwill of Southern Arizona, Friends of Pima County Library, The Beacon Group, Evolve, American Legion, Lions Club, Iskashitaa Refugee Network, Recyco, Disabled American Veterans, and Tucson Police Department.
These organizations will be on hand to collect materials is a one-stop, drive-thru environment .
