FATAL VEHICLE COLLISION 4882 EAST 29TH STREET |
On March 7, 2025, just after 9:30 p.m., officers from Operations Division Midtown responded to a single-vehicle collision at 4882 E. 29th St. Tucson Fire personnel arrived and evaluated the occupants of a white 2001 Infiniti sedan. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Keaira Nasha Bell, was pronounced deceased. A 26-year-old male passenger was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Traffic Detectives were called to the crash scene and continued the investigation.
Witness statements, in conjunction with roadway evidence, indicated that Ms. Bell was traveling eastbound on 29th Street at high speeds, swerving around traffic. At one point, she lost control of the vehicle, struck the curb, and then a streetlight. Detectives found that both occupants were wearing their seatbelts. It was raining in the area at the time of the collision, which may have contributed to the collision. Any impairment within the driver may be determined through medical records. Excessive speed is believed to be the major contributing factor of the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
