DIAMONDBACK SNAKE BRIDGE ART REPAIR PROJECT

Beginning Monday, March 10, 2025, repairs to the Diamondback Snake Bridge, which spans over Broadway between Maclovio Barraza Parkway/Barraza Aviation Highway and Euclid Avenue are scheduled to begin.
Travel lane restrictions will be in place during the project, with two lanes of travel maintained in each direction. The bridge will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists through the duration of the project, and they will be detoured onto Euclid Avenue. East and westbound pedestrian sidewalk access will also be restricted under the bridge while crews are working.
Traffic control will be in place 24 hours a day. Crews are scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from about 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The repairs will consist of sandblasting, repairing cracked concrete and repainting the bottom portion of the bridge.
This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-June 2025.
The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Electronic message boards are in place to alert motorists of this work.
The traveling public can expect delays when driving in this work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel in the area.
