At the Ward 6 Council Office, we are deeply deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our community on both large and small projects that make a real difference. Whether it's addressing unlawful activity, launching traffic calming initiatives, reporting illegal dumping, or involving code enforcement in resolving issues, we are proud to be a part of these efforts. We greatly value the important feedback we receive from our constituents, which helps shape the city's progress. We are also thankful for the collaboration and cohesion between all involved, whether through small actions or more significant contributions. A special thanks goes to our neighborhood leaders for including the Ward in their initiatives, fostering a stronger and more connected community.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy Holiday and a very Happy New Year!

Ward 6 Recycling Center
We need your help to keep the Ward 6 Recycling Center clean, functional and OPEN. Lately, we’ve seen an increase in people dumping cardboard boxes outside the recycling bins, even when there is no space left. This behavior is creating a mess that makes it difficult for everyone to use the facility properly. If this continues, we may have no choice but to close the recycling center altogether. You will soon see the following signs posted.
We kindly ask that when you come to drop off your recycling, please be responsible and make sure to place your items in the bins. If the bins are full, do not leave your recycling outside. Let’s all do our part to keep the area clean and organized.
We’ve included pictures of the lot from this morning to show the extent of the issue. While we appreciate the help from Beacon in cleaning up, the amount of waste left behind is overwhelming and unsustainable. Please help spread the word and be considerate of others who rely on the center.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

'Tis the Season to TreeCycle
Residents can recycle their Christmas trees through the City of Tucson’s TreeCycle Program, which runs from Thursday, December 26, 2024, to Monday, January 20, 2025. TreeCycle drop-off locations are available throughout Tucson and Oro Valley (see list below).
Before recycling, please remove all items from your tree, including the stand, lights, ornaments, wire, and tinsel. By pooling your tree with a neighbor's, you can reduce the number of trips and help improve air quality. The City of Tucson will process the trees into compost for sustainable use.
Please note that the City of Tucson will not collect Christmas trees from curbsides or alleys. Additionally, other types of green waste are not accepted at TreeCycle sites, and commercial overages from tree lots are only accepted at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus, where landfill rates apply.
