ENJOY BOO BASH THIS WEEKEND AT LINCOLN PARK - Tucson Parks and Recreation presents Boo Bash on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 5-8 p.m., at the Lincoln Park soccer fields, 4325 S. Pantano Road. It will be a free, fun-filled night of tricks and treats. Enjoy carnival games, entertainment, trunk-or-treat, show off your costumes, play graveyard golf, and more. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Remember to bring your own bag to collect candy from all the games and trunk-or-treats. Sponsors include Raising Canes, American Furniture Warehouse, Tucson Electric Power, Carbon Health, Renewal by Anderson, and Rodeo Dental. REID PARK ZOO HOSTS BOO AT THE ZOO STARTING TOMORROW - If you can't make it to Boo Bash, or just want some extra scares to fill your weekend, Reid Park Zoo is hosting three days of scary fun during Boo at the Zoo, Friday though Sunday, Oct. 18-20. Zoo members can receive early entry at 5:30 p.m., and the public hours will be from 6-8:30 p.m. This family-friendly event provides a safe environment to trick-or-treat, enjoy character meet and greets, and experience spooky scenes, games, and festive Halloween activities. Guests are invited to wear their costumes and experience the Zoo after dark as it’s transformed into a kid-friendly fantasy world. PUBLIC INVITED TO NEXT WEEK'S PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING - The monthly Tucson Parks and Recreation Commission (TPRC) meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 3:30-5 p.m., at Tucson Parks and Recreation (Mesquite Room), 900 S. Randolph Way, and online (link below). This City of Tucson commission of citizens serves as an advisory panel to Tucson's Mayor and Council. Its role is to make recommendations regarding recreational activities and park facilities within the City, operations policy and procedures, user fees, park development, and park name changes.
