TDC ONLINE ROLLS OUT SEVERAL NEW FEATURES - Tucson Development Center Online (TDC Online) recently introduced several new features to enhance the customer experience when applying for permits or plans through the City's Planning and Development Services Department. The new Geo Rules feature provides zoning information based on your property address during the application process. Adjusted review time frames now account for weekends and holidays, helping to prevent missed or overdue reviews. The reworked, non-refundable Electrical Reconnect Permit no longer requires document uploads, streamlining the process for faster approvals. REMINDER: PUMPKINS & PISTONS TRUNK-OR-TREAT, CAR SHOW, AND RESOURCE FAIR THIS WEEKEND - Celebrate Tucson’s car culture and the fall season at this free, family-focused trunk-or-treat fiesta. The City of Tucson Community Safety, Health & Wellness team invites you to join the first Pumpkins & Pistons Car Show, Resource Fair, and Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1-5 p.m., at the "haunted" City-State Garage downtown, 498 W. Congress St. In addition to showcasing more than 150 one-of-a-kind cars, there will be prizes for the best cars, a car cruise, free games and family activities, food trucks, plenty of free resources and services, lots of candy, and a raffle benefiting the City of Tucson's Housing First Program. THERAPEUTIC RECREATION AT TUCSON PARKS AND RECREATION - Tucson Parks and Recreation's Therapeutic Recreation division's mission is to provide programs that develop and enhance lifelong recreational pursuits for people with disabilities through adaptive, aquatic, and inclusive recreation opportunities. Some of the teen and adult programs offered are bowling (watch video linked below), social club, basketball, track and field, wheelchair sports, and a monthly social dance. Tucson Parks and Recreation strives for the inclusion of all ability levels through adaptive supports in recreation programs and camps.
