HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
5255 SOUTH PARK AVENUE |

On October 10, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., patrol officers from Operations Division South responded to the report of a shooting at a mobile home park, located at 5255 S. Park Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males that had been shot. Officers rendered aid to a 30-year-old male until Tucson Fire arrived and transported him to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The other male that sustained gunshot trauma was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers identified him as 27-year-old Alexis Pesqueira Martinez. Next of kin was notified. TPD Homicide Detectives and officers from Operations Division South/Community Response Team were called to the scene and took over the investigation.
After processing the scene and conducting interviews, investigators believe a number of individuals left the scene prior to police arrival. No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Additional details will be released as they become available. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact 88-CRIME.
