Tucson's 2024 Disability Pride Celebration Set for December 7th

The office of Ward 2 Councilmember Paul Cunningham is pleased to announce that the third annual Disability Pride Day will take place on Saturday, December 7th from 11 am-5 pm in the senior center  at Udall park (7200 E Tanque Verde Road).

“I am thrilled that we are able to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and bring Disability Pride back to the east side,” said  Councilmember Paul Cunningham. “The emphasis this year is on disabled pride and celebrating our amazing disability community and I am excited to share more details over the coming weeks.”

The event will feature a keynote address, a panel discussion, live entertainment by disabled performers, adaptive sports in the gym, an art exhibition and the opportunity to meet local para-athletes as well as the division three National Wheelchair Basketball champions, the Tucson Lobos who will be on hand with their championship  trophy. There will also be a small resource fair that will feature a selection of non-profits and groups from our community.
