 NEW FEES IN EFFECT
On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, City of Tucson Mayor and Council adopted Tucson Parks and Recreation revised rates and fees. The proposed rate changes went into effect on July 1.
Fees changes include free recreation center facility access for smaller recreation centers and new fees for commercial use of parks, youth sports field lighting, swim team pool rentals, ramadas, and tennis/pickleball court use for courts under contract management.  TAKE OUR AQUATICS FEEDBACK SURVEY
The department is committed to providing high-quality aquatics amenities that meet the needs of the Tucson community. A survey is underway to better understand how residents use the City's pools and splash pads and what they value most about having access to those facilities. Feedback received will help improve services and ensure that City pools remain a valuable resource for everyone. If you use City pools, take the survey linked below. The survey will close Thursday, July 18, at 11:45 p.m.
 TRACK & FIELD & ROAD RACES IN JULY
The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation department is hosting its annual summer track and field and road races throughout July. Cost is $3/youth (17 years and younger); $4/adults (18 years and older). Track and field events are held Tuesdays, through July 30, at Drachman Stadium, 501 S. Plumer. Road races will be held at various locations on Thursdays. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with races starting at 6 p.m. Ribbons will be given to the top finishers at each track and field meet and run.  REGISTER FOR KIDCO AFTERSCHOOL
Registration opens soon for KIDCO Afterschool for the 2024-2025 school year. This program offers safe and structured activities for those 5-11 years old and currently enrolled in Kindergarten-5th grade from school dismissal until 6 p.m. Planned activities may include sports, games, nutrition, fitness, arts and crafts, performing arts, and special events. Registration for year-round sites (Vail School District)is open, at the link below. Registration for all other school year sites will begin Thursday, July 18, at 8 a.m.
The cost is $500/school year for city residents or $625/school year for non-city residents. View locations and register online by following the EZEEreg.com link below. Payment plan is available. Discount program is available for City of Tucson residents only and must be applied prior to registration.
