The playground project includes a new playground structure with additional shade structure and ADA-accessible pathways to come in the next few months. It was made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and Impact Fees.
The Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) completed roadway improvements throughout the Julia Keen neighborhood, including installation of over 140 ADA-accessible ramps and repaving of the streets with new asphalt. The roadway improvement project began in January 2024 as part of the 2022 voter-approved Proposition 411 Tucson Delivers Better Streets program.
