On March 13, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Public Safety Communications Department received a 9-1-1 call requesting a welfare check near S. Wilmot Rd. and E. Stella Rd. Patrol officers from Operations Division East responded to the area and located an adult female deceased in a drainage tunnel east of the intersection. Upon further inspection, police discovered the female had sustained trauma. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Casandrah Poole. Her family was located and notified. Homicide Unit Detectives were called to the scene and continued the investigation.
Investigators combed the area surrounding the crime scene and carried out initial interviews. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are searching for leads in the case and are asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
