TRAFFIC ALERT 

DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURES
PARADE OF LIGHTS

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, beginning at 5:30 p.m., the following streets will close to motorists for the 29^th Annual Downtown Parade of Lights:

• Stone Avenue, between Broadway Boulevard and 18th Street
• Scott Avenue, between Broadway Boulevard and 14th Street
• Sixth Avenue, between Broadway Boulevard and 18th Street
• Fifth Street, between Broadway Boulevard and 18th Street
• McCormick Street between Church Avenue and Scott Avenue
• Cushing Street between Church/Convent Avenue and Stone Avenue
• Simpson Street between Convent Avenue and Stone Avenue
• Kennedy Street between Convent Avenue and Stone Avenue
• Ochoa Street between Stone Avenue and Scott Avenue

Additional side streets, including 12^th,13^th, 14^th, 15^th, 16^th, and 17^th Streets from Sixth Avenue to Fourth Avenue will close to accommodate staging for parade participants.

All roadways are scheduled to reopen by approximately 8:30 p.m., the same evening.

The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on Stone Avenue at 17^th Street then proceeds north, turns east on Ochoa Street/12^th Street, turns south on Sixth Avenue, and ends on Sixth Avenue and 13^th Street. For more information about the Downtown Parade of Lights, visit downtownparadeoflights.com.

Motorists driving in the area can expect traffic delays associated with this event, plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
