TRAFFIC ALERT
ROAD CLOSURES WINTERHAVEN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Beginning Saturday, December 9, 2023, through Monday, December 25, 2023, the following streets will close nightly to motorists from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. for the Winterhaven Festival of Lights:
- Christmas Avenue between Fort Lowell Road and Kleindale Road
- Kleindale Road between Tucson Boulevard and Country Club Road
- Treat Avenue between Prince Road and Kleindale Road
- Stewart Avenue/Greenlee Street between Prince Road and Treat Avenue
The following travel restrictions will also be in place for this event during these times:
- The center turn lane on Fort Lowell Road will close between Fox Lane and Country Club Road.
- The center turn lane on Prince Road will close east of Tucson Boulevard to Stewart Avenue.
The Winterhaven Festival of Lights draws tens of thousands of our community members, therefore, speeds will be reduced in the event area to 25 mph. When driving through the Winterhaven event area, please slow down as there will be increased pedestrian traffic crossing Fort Lowell Road, Country Club Road, Prince Road, and Tucson Boulevard nightly.
Law enforcement officers will be on site to direct travel around the event and to assist with local traffic. Motorists can expect delays associated with this event, plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling, or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
