As a part of the $50 million Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant from HUD for Thrive in the 05, the City of Tucson’s Housing & Community Development is hiring several key positions.

The City of Tucson's Housing & Community Development Department is accepting proposals from non-profit and for-profit development organizations with the capacity to advance the City of Tucson’s P-CHIP goals by developing affordable rental housing projects through acquisition, rehabilitation, and/or new construction of affordable rental housing within the City of Tucson limits. This request for proposals is issued on behalf of the City of Tucson/Pima County HOME Consortium.
Applications are due on or before 11:59 p.m., Arizona time on Dec. 20, 2023.

Did you know the City of Tucson has a program to remove toxic lead paint from older homes for free? If you know of a family who rents or owns a home built before 1978 and meets the requirements above, they may be eligible to have lead paint removal.

A bird's eye view and glimpse into the future of the Milagro on Oracle site! Once complete, Milagro on Oracle will house Tucsonans 55+ and individuals experiencing homelessness.
The project is part of the City’s 10-point Housing Affordable Strategy for Tucson (HAST), which calls for creation of more affordable housing. Additionally, this project is the City of Tucson's first Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) project in 10 years and first LIHTC project developed under El Pueblo Housing Development, a newly formed non-profit.

TPCH and SAFEE (Stop Abuse and Financial Exploitation of Elders) are hosting a panel on resources for older adults experiencing homelessness and / or domestic abuse. This panel will host representatives from the following organizations:
- Stop Abuse and Financial Exploitation of Elders (SAFEE)
- Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse
- City of Tucson
- University of Arizona Southwest Institute for Research on Women (UA SIROW)
