READY, SET, REC! FALL SHOWCASE
Tucson Parks and Recreation proudly presents the Ready, Set, Rec! Fall Showcase on Saturday, Sept. 23, 9 a.m.-noon at La Madera Park, 2700 E. La Madera Drive. Join us for music, games, fun, raffle prizes, and more. It's an opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy a day filled with activities for all ages. The event is free and open to the public. There will be food trucks with food available for purchase.

Teen Video Gamming Competition
Teens can sign up for Tucson Parks and Recreation’s Switch City program, a video gaming competition for teens. This program features monthly Nintendo Switch tournaments for teens ages 12-17, hosted at various recreation centers. A different game is played each month. FALL BREAK CAMPS
School's Out Fall Break Camps will be offered at multiple sites throughout Tucson for children ages 5-11, or In-Betweener's Club for ages 12-14. Camps are from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Camp at Clements Center, serving Vail School District, will be Sept. 25-Oct. 13. The cost is $75, and registration will begin Sept. 11, at 8 a.m. All other camps will be Oct. 9-13, with registration beginning Sept. 25, at 8 a.m. The cost is $25/city-resident or $32/non-city resident. Activities include games, sports, social interaction, dance, art projects, and nutrition-based learning activities. Register online at EZEEreg.com.
NOMINIATIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE TUCSON PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER AWARDS
The Tucson Parks and Recreation Commission is announced that it is now accepting nominations for the Tucson Parks and Recreation Awards. The community may submit nominations for the categories of individual, business partner(s), nonprofit, or team for their creative approaches in supporting and enhancing our parks system to provide high-quality facilities, programs, and services for Tucsonans of all ages and abilities. Award recipients will receive a Tucson Parks and Recreation Commission award and formal recognition. The deadline for nominations is Sunday, Sept. 17, at 11:45 p.m. Submit your nomination HERE.

GET PAID TO GET LIFEGUARD CERTIFIED AND WORK AT A CITY POOL
Are you or someone you know looking for a part-time job? Tucson Parks and Recreation is hiring lifeguards to operate and maintain the safety at City pools year-round. The minimum age to be a lifeguard is 15 years old. Pay starts at $16.75/hour.
The City will pay applicants to get their Lifeguard Certification through the City’s certification path. The lifeguard class is an intense, fast-paced course, and strong swim skills are required. All applicants must pass a swim test to qualify.
