SILENT DISCO RECRUITMENT PARTY
Tucson Parks and Recreation is hosting a Silent Disco Recruitment Party. This event, for those ages 15-20 years old, will be an interactive teen job fair where those interested can learn about the exciting positions at Parks and Recreation. The evening will include a silent disco, food, raffle prizes, and more. The event is free and no registration is required.
Who: Ages 15-20 Date: Friday, April 14, from 5-8 p.m. Location: Gene C. Reid Park DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center (OPC) 800 S. Concert Place.

WOMEN'S FASTPITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE
Tucson Parks and Recreation will be offering a Fastpitch Softball League this summer for women ages 16 and older. Registration will be April 17-May 15. The league will run on Tuesday nights, from May 30-July 25 at Lincoln Regional Park. The cost is $400/team. Find out more on our website.
BARK IN THE BARRIO HAPPENING APRIL 8
Join Tucson Parks and Recreation and Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) for Bark in the Barrio on Saturday, April 8, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at Armory Park, 222 S. 5th Ave. See the new PACC Mobile, play games, grab some food, listen to music, and visit local exhibitors. Dogs will be available for adoption.

NEW TEEN PROGRAM: SWITCH CITY
Introducing a NEW teen program, Switch City! Teens 12-17 can play in monthly Nintendo Switch tournaments at different recreation centers. A different game is played each month, and winners from each center tournament will play in a Tournament of Champions. No equipment is required; everything is supplied at Parks and Rec. On Nov. 6, 2018, City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian and bicycle safety). 2018 Parks + Connections Bond Oversight Commission Hybrid Meeting
The Tucson Delivers Program is monitored by eleven members of the public appointed to the 2018 Parks and Connections Bond Oversight Commission. Their next meeting will be held on Monday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m., virtually and at 900 S. Randolph Way, Tucson, AZ, 85716.

HIMMEL TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL COURTS
The new and resurfaced tennis and pickleball north courts at Himmel Park, 1000 N. Tucson Blvd., are complete and they are open to the public. Fences between the courts will be installed. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES AT CSM MARTIN R. "GUNNY" BARRERAS MEMORIAL PARK
The construction at CSM Martin R. “Gunny” Barreras Memorial Park, 5702 S. Campbell Ave., continues this month. Save the date for a grand reopening to be held on Saturday, June 3.
