DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURES
TUCSON FOLK FESTIVAL
AND GABA RIO NUEVO BIKE SWAP
Expect road closures in the downtown area from Friday, March 31 to Monday, April 3, 2023 associated with the Tucson Folk Festival and GABA Rio Nuevo Bike Swap.
Tucson Folk Festival – Beginning Friday, March 31, 2023, at 6 a.m., Church Avenue will close to vehicular travel from Pennington Street to Alameda Street, west of Jácome Plaza, for the 38th Annual Tucson Folk Festival.
Additionally, the following roads will close on Saturday, April 1, beginning at 5 a.m.
- Church Avenue from Alameda Street north to Washington Street
- Pennington Street from Church Avenue to Stone Avenue
- Eastbound Alameda Street from Main Avenue to Church Avenue
- Court Avenue from Telles Street to Council Street
Westbound through travel will remain open on Alameda Street between Stone Avenue and Church Avenue. These closures are scheduled to reopen by approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023.

GABA Rio Nuevo Bike Swap – Beginning Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 9 p.m., Sixth Avenue will close from 12th Street to 13th Street, west of Armory Park, for the GABA Rio Nuevo Bike Swap.
Additionally, 12th Street and 13th Street will close from Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue. These closures are scheduled to reopen by 3 p.m., on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained in and around the road closures for both events. Businesses, parking garages and parking lots will be open and accessible during the road closures.
Motorists can expect delays associated with these events, please plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.

Espere cierres de carreteras en el centro de la ciudad desde el viernes 31 de marzo hasta el lunes 3 de abril de 2023 asociados con el Tucson Folk Festival y GABA Rio Nuevo Bike Swap.
Tucson Folk Festival – A partir del viernes 31 de marzo de 2023, a las 6 a. m., Church Avenue cerrará el tráfico vehicular desde Pennington Street hasta Alameda Street, al oeste de Jácome Plaza, para el 38.º Festival Folclórico Anual de Tucson.
