On Nov. 6, 2018, City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian and bicycle safety). Projects will happen in phases through 2028. Thank you, Tucson voters! For more information on all the projects planned using Tucson Delivers bond funds, visit TucsonDelivers.Tucsonaz.gov.
Complete: New Playground at Fort Lowell Park
A new playground at Fort Lowell Park, 2900 N. Craycroft Road, is now open. The project included new playground structures with shade and an ADA-accessible walkway. This playground was made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and a generous donation of the latest in play innovations from Burke.
