20+ Years of Delivering High Quality Drinking Water
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), and Tucson Water each have a distinct role in ensuring clean and safe tap water. The EPA establishes water quality recommendations and requirements, the ADEQ enforces the EPA’s standards, and the utility implements the standards and reports the results. Learn how Tucson Water continues to meet and exceed EPA requirements.
Ensuring Quality Water is Delivered to You
Tucson Water will continue to meet or exceed federal regulatory guidelines for water quality for all our customers. We will continue to proactively monitor and manage for the highest quality water with vigilance, investment, and wise use of technology.

Rebate Updates: More Savings & Apply Online
Starting July 1, we're updating our rebates for residential toilets and clothes washers so customers can save more water and money! You can also now apply for rebates online for simpler and quicker processing.
Toilets are one of the biggest indoor water users, often the culprit for leaks. Our residential toilet rebate has increased to $100 per Premium High Efficiency Toilet (HET) for homes and buildings constructed before 2011. These Premium HETs must be WaterSense-certified, flush no more than 1.1 gallons, and receive high flush performance scores. Premium toilets save 15% more water over standard WaterSense toilets plus more than 30% over the 1.6-gallon per flush toilets still commonly available.
Tucson Water offers clothes washer rebates on over 200 qualifying models. Starting July 1, customers will receive a $200 rebate only when replacing a top-load clothes washer with a front-load machine. A front-load washer is more efficient, using 85% less water! Customers replacing a front-load machine or customers without a washer to replace will receive a $100 rebate when purchasing a new, qualifying model.

"Why is my water sometimes cloudy?"
Thousands of tiny dissolving air bubbles can make your water look milky or cloudy. A faucet aerator that needs to be replaced or cleaned often causes bubbles. It's harmless and won't hurt you or damage your appliances. Simply let water sit for a minute or two and the bubbles will disappear.

Know Where to Throw: Tanglers
“Tanglers” are items like garden hoses, string lights, cables, cords, plastic bags, or wire hangers. Toss tanglers in the trash or repurpose! Never put them in recycling because they can damage equipment – and hurt staff.
