TUCSON DELIVERS BETTER STREETS PROP 101

CRACK SEAL/FOG SEAL PROGRAM CONTINUES

Crews from VSS International, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are continuing the crack seal/ fog seal program on various roadway segments throughout the City. The roadway improvements are associated with the voter-approved Proposition 101 Tucson Delivers Better Streets Program.

During the roadway improvement project, work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional night work. During the fog seal work at the intersections, work will take place on Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The dates and locations where the improvements will take place in the next two weeks of the program are:

Crack Seal:

Tuesday, May 10, through Friday, May 20, 2022

Sixth Avenue – Toole Avenue to Congress Street
Stone Avenue – Glenn Street to Alturas Street
Stone Avenue – Sahuaro Street to Drachman Street
Stone Avenue – Fort Lowell Road to Glenn Street
Prince Road – Oracle Road to Stone Avenue
Flowing Wells Road – Roger Road to Miracle Mile
Grande Avenue – Speedway Boulevard to Congress Street
Greasewood Road – Ironwood Hill Drive to Speedway Boulevard
Ironwood Hill Drive – City Limits (West) to Silverbell Road
Euclid Avenue – Sixth Street to Broadway
Euclid Avenue – University Boulevard to Sixth Street

Crews are also scheduled to fog seal the roadways that have previously been crack sealed as part of this program.

During the fog seal work at the intersections, officers will be on site to help assist travel. Fog sealing is the application of a thin layer of asphalt emulsion that helps cover small roadway imperfections, cracks or other small voids and seals the existing asphalt to preserve and rejuvenate the asphalt.

During this work travel lane restrictions will be in place where crews are working. At least one lane of travel will be maintained in both directions. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in these work areas. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area. This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

TUCSON DELIVERS BETTER STREETS PROP 101

EL PROGRAMA DE SELLO DE GRIETAS/SELLO DE NIEBLA CONTINÚA

Las cuadrillas de VSS International, bajo contrato con el Departamento de Transporte y Movilidad (DTM) de la Ciudad de Tucson, continúan con el trabajo de sello de grietas/sello de niebla en varios segmentos de carreteras en toda la Ciudad. Las mejoras viales están asociadas con el programa Prop 101 Tucson Delivers Better Streets aprobado por los votantes.

Durante el proyecto de mejora, el horario de trabajo será de 7 a.m. a 4 p.m., de lunes a viernes, con trabajo de noche ocasional. Durante el trabajo del sello de niebla en las intersecciones, el trabajo se llevará a cabo las noches del viernes a partir de las 6 p.m. a las 6 a.m. Las fechas y lugares donde se realizarán las mejoras en esta próxima dos semanas del programa son:

Sello de Grietas:

Las cuadrillas también están programadas para sellar con niebla las carreteras que previamente se sellaron para grietas como parte de este programa.

Sello de Niebla:

martes 10 de mayo, hasta viernes 13 de mayo de 2022

El trabajo del sello de niebla en las intersecciones, oficiales estarán en el lugar para ayudar a viajar a través de las intersecciones. El sellado con niebla es la aplicación de una capa delgada de emulsión asfáltica que ayuda a cubrir pequeñas imperfecciones, grietas u otros pequeños huecos en la carretera y sella el asfalto existente para preservar y rejuvenecer el asfalto.

Durante este trabajo, se aplicarán restricciones de carriles de circulación donde las cuadrillas estén trabajando. Se mantendrá al menos un carril de circulación en ambas direcciones. El público que viaja puede esperar retrasos al conducir en estas áreas de trabajo. Obedezca todas las señales de control de tráfico y esté atento al personal y el equipo de construcción en el área de trabajo. Este horario está sujeto a cambios debido a las inclemencias del tiempo o circunstancias imprevistas.
