TUGO BIKE SHARE FREE ON WEDNESDAYS THIS MONTH - The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) and Shift Transit, the longstanding Tugo Bike Share operating company, announce Free Ride Wednesdays during the month of April. Thanks to Tugo Bike Share’s partner, Tucson Electric Power (TEP), riders can take out a bike at no cost, from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Wednesdays, ride for as long as they wish, and then return the bike to any station. The job openings are for lead human resources analyst and human resources analyst. The lead human resources analyst leads personnel in interpreting employment laws, Civil Service Commission rules, policies, and procedures for managers and employees. The job also provides leadership in the areas of employee recruitment and selection, human resources management, compensation, classification, human resource compliance, records retention, employee relations, training, and organizational development. The human resources analyst conducts recruitment and selection processes for City departments and analyzes, creates, and updates recruitment information and related job descriptions. The holder of this position also interviews applicants and City employees. That person also approves and processes documents related to personnel actions. CITY HIRING BUILDING INSPECTORS - The City’s Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) is currently recruiting building inspectors as part of a major restructuring of its building inspection classifications. The Building Safety Division of PDSD includes employees who process permit applications, perform plan review, conduct inspections in various categories, and authorize buildings to be occupied in the City of Tucson. Building inspectors perform critical functions related to residential and/or commercial property inspections to assure compliance with a variety of regulations for health, life safety, and fire protection. DINOSAURS ROAR THROUGHOUT REID PARK ZOO - Guests can go back in time, some 66 million years ago, and get face-to-teeth with a mighty 16-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus rex, or they can stand up to a 45-foot-long Spinosaurus (the largest of all the carnivores). The Dinosaur Discovery event boasts 10 roaring, moving, lifelike giants brought back to life in a lush, outdoor setting. Guests are encouraged to learn about modern animals at Reid Park Zoo whose species are threatened with extinction, so they can take steps to keep them around as long as possible.
