EGGstravaganza at Mansfield Park and Virtual Egg Hunt
Tucson Parks and Recreation invites you to the 23rd annual EGGstravaganza at Mansfield Park to enjoy music, games, prizes, egg hunts, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
When: Saturday, April 9, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Where: Mansfield Park, 2000 N. Fourth Ave.
In addition, the department is hosting a virtual egg hunt leading up to the event. To participate, visit one of 40 parks throughout Tucson from March 31-April 7, and hunt for 600 egg-shaped signs, scan the QR code on the sign, and submit your information and a picture (optional). Each egg you find is an entry into the prize Easter basket drawing. Please leave the eggs in the park for others to find.
Visit our website to learn more about these events and to find out in which parks the eggs are hidden for the virtual egg hunt.

City Extended-Season Pools and Splash Pads Now Open
Three extended-season pools, in addition to the four year-round pools, and all five City splash pads are now open. There is no entry fee for pools at this time, except at the Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center. Archer Pool, an extended-season pool, will not open April 1 due to a maintenance issue. We will open the pool near the beginning of May. Splash pads are open daily from 8 a.m.-sunset, through Oct. 31. There is no entry fee.
For a list of all City of Tucson splash pads, visit Tucsonaz.gov/parks.
Leash Up. Clean Up.
In Arizona, it’s the law that your dog needs to be on a leash when out in public unless you are in an off-leash dog park. No matter where you take your dog or how well trained they are, your dog is safer when on a leash and you are too.

On Nov. 6, 2018, City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian and bicycle safety). Projects will happen in phases through 2028. Thank you, Tucson voters! For more information on all the projects planned using Tucson Delivers bond funds, visit TucsonDelivers.Tucsonaz.gov.
