The City of Tucson Housing and Community Development (HCD) department issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to developers interested in leasing, developing, and managing one or both of the City-owned properties in Tucson.All submissions are due before 11:59 pm on Monday April 11th.

In March, the City of Tucson Mayor and Council voted to expand fee waivers to for-profit developers to build affordable housing. The change is meant to encourage more construction of affordable units in Tucson.

In March, City of Tucson Mayor, Regina Romero, visited the new Housing First site and met with residents.
"Spending the afternoon at the City of Tucson's Housing First residence left me feeling motivated and inspired. The stories and advice shared by the residents and staff let me know how important our work is," said Romero.
Earlier this year, the City of Tucson purchased former hotels to provide shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness with federal Cares Act Funds.
