OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE & RELOCATE HISTORIC PUMP HOUSE

Building Purchase Price:  The purchase price is the cost to relocate, which is estimated at $30,000 - $60,000.

Background: The pump house was constructed in association with the Stone Avenue Underpass, which is a National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) listed resource.  Through its association with Underpass, the pump house is considered a contributing element to the Tucson Warehouse Historic District. Demolition of the pump house is required to accommodate construction of a pedestrian and bicycle bridge that is part of the Downtown Links roadway project. The removal of the pump house will not affect the historic listing of the Stone Avenue Underpass.
