Summer Pools Open June 3 Additional Lifeguards Needed - Join the team!
On June 3, we will open 12 pools for recreational swim and adult lap swim. Entrance to City pools will remain free throughout the summer. For complete information on City pools, locations, and hours, visit our website.
We will be offering limited Learn to Swim lessons for two sessions, July 6-16 and July 19-30. Separate classes will be available for parent and child. Registration will begin on Monday, June 14, at 9 a.m. on EZEEreg.com.
We are still in need of lifeguards and have opened up the recruitment process. Apply online TODAY at Tucsonaz.gov/jobs.
Take a class indoors this summer
We are offering limited indoor classes this summer. Classes range from arts and crafts, ceramics, dance, health and fitness, jewelry making, music, and more for youth and adults. Classes begin the week of June 6. Register online today at EZEEreg.com.

Road Races and Track & Field
Our summer track and field and road races are back throughout June and July. Track and field events will be held Tuesdays, through July 20, at Palo Verde High School, 1302 S. Avenida Vega. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., with events starting at 7 p.m.
Road races will be every Thursday, June 10-July 22, at various locations. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with events starting at 6 p.m. Ribbons will be given to the top finishers at each track and field meet and each run. Cost is $3/youth (17 and younger); $4/adult (18 and older). For more details on locations and events visit Tucsonaz.gov/sports.

Spots available in Summer KIDCO, IBC, and Jr. Staff in Training
KIDCO summer camps, In-Betweeners Club, and Jr. Staff in Training are open for registration. Many sites have filled, but there is still some availability. We recently added El Pueblo Center as a KIDCO site.

On Nov. 6, 2018, the City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds are dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation center) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, pedestrian and bicycle safety). New Shade Sails Over Bleachers Installed at Todd M. Harris Park
New shade sails have been installed over the bleachers at the softball complex at Todd M. Harris Sports Complex, 2400 S. Craycroft Road.

Free Ice Cream and Public Input Event at Santa Rita Park
Join us for some fun at the park on Saturday, June 5, from 9:30-11 a.m. The Ready, Set, Rec! van will be there with fun and games for everyone, free ice cream (limited quantities), and staff will be there to talk to the community about plans to improve Santa Rita Park with the development of a park master plan.
In addition, we will host a virtual public meeting to discuss the master plan process and survey available to provide valuable feedback on what park amenities are important to you. The meeting will be held, Wednesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m.
