Ready, Set, Rec! is coming to a park near you. We have six vans packed full of fun for all ages and abilities. Activities are FREE and open to all ages and abilities.
Each van has standard play equipment, like giant yard games, board games, cards, walking sticks, and hula hoops. Other modules that you could see at the park program include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, STEM activities, sports, container gardening, fishing, Lotería, and more.
Each van will visit at least three parks a week. Masks and physical distancing are required. Find out where the vans are this week by visiting the website or following @Readysetrec on Facebook or Instagram.

TUSD is returning to in-person learning beginning Wednesday, March 24. KIDCO Re-imagined will end on Thursday, March 11. Registration for the KIDCO afterschool program will begin on Friday, March 12, at 8 a.m., first-come, first-served, until spots are filled. (Locations may not be immediately available as sites are still being secured at time of release of the newsletter, so keep checking back). To qualify for the Discount Program prior to registration, call Registration Services at the number above and make an appointment.
 On Nov. 6, 2018, the City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds will be dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation center) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, pedestrian and bicycle safety). Projects will happen in phases over the next nine years (2020-2028). Thank you, Tucson voters! New shade sails have been installed over four playgrounds throughout Tucson, and two more will be completed soon at Case Natural Resource Park and Merle J. Toumey Park.

Construction is underway on the Buffalo Soldiers Memorial Plaza located at Quincie Douglas Center, 1575 E 36th St. It is anticipated to be completed by the end of April.
