TRANSIT SCHEDULES FOR NEW YEAR’S DAY 2021
Schedules for Sun Tran, Sun Link, Sun Shuttle and Sun Van
TUCSON, Ariz. – Due to historically low ridership on holidays, transit service will be reduced on New Year’s Day.
Transit services will be as follows on Friday, January 1, 2021:

Sun Tran Routes 4, 8, 11, 12, 16, 18 & 21 will run on special holiday hourly schedules, as shown at www.suntran.com/holiday.php. All other Sun Tran routes will run on regular Sunday schedules.

Sun Link streetcar will run regular Sunday service on New Year’s Day ending at 8 p.m. On New Year’s Eve, Sun Link will run regular weekday service, ending at 10 p.m.

Sun Express Routes 101X-204X will not be in operation.

Sun Shuttle fixed-route service and Sahuarita/Green Valley Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride will not be in operation.

Sun Shuttle ADA Dial-a-Ride service provided by Total Ride and Oro Valley Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride will offer service, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., for Americans with Disabilities Act-qualified passengers only.

Sun Van service and hours of operation will mirror the service provided by Sun Tran. Sun Van’s Reservation Center will be open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

Sun On Demand, door-to-door service, will operate on a Sunday schedule from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The Customer Service Center will be closed on New Year’s Day and will return to service on Saturday, January 2nd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The following transit offices will be closed on New Year’s Day. Please note the buildings remain closed to the public during COVID-19. Staff will return to the office on Monday, January 4th.

- The Ronstadt and Laos Transit Center information booths will not be staffed.
Updates to the transit service occur throughout the year as an ongoing effort to meet the needs of the community and to keep the system as convenient, accessible and efficient as possible.
Transit fares remain free through at least the end of January 2021. Face masks are required on all transit vehicles.
Sun Tran is utilizing hourly Sunday schedules for all routes on New Year’s Day due to very low ridership on holidays. Ridership on holidays is less than half of the average ridership for Sundays. Employing hourly schedules for all routes also helps Sun Tran address shortages in staffing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HORARIOS DE TRÁNSITO DEL DÍA DE AÑO NUEVO 2021
Horarios para Sun Tran, Sun Link, Sun Shuttle y Sun Van
TUCSON, Ariz. - Debido a la cantidad históricamente baja de pasajeros en días festivos, el servicio de tránsito se reducirá el día de Año Nuevo.
Los servicios de tránsito serán como se enumeran a continuación el viernes, 1 de enero, 2021:

Las rutas de Sun Tran 4, 8, 11, 12, 16, 18 y 21 utilizarán un horario especial de días festivos, así como especificado en este sitio: suntran.com/routes/holiday.php. Las otras rutas de Sun Tran funcionarán en horario de domingo.

El tranvía Sun Link funcionará en horario de domingo el día de Año Nuevo, finalizando el servicio a las 8 p.m. En Nochevieja, Sun Link funcionará en horario regular de lunes a viernes, y finalizará a las 10 p.m.

Sun Express Rutas 101X-204X no estarán en funcionamiento.

Sun Shuttle y Sahuarita / Green Valley Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride no estarán en funcionamiento.

Sun Shuttle ADA Dial-a-Ride proporcionado por Total Ride y Oro Valley Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride ofrecerá servicio, de 9 a.m. a 6 p.m., solo para pasajeros calificados por la Ley de Estadounidenses con Discapacidades.

Sun Van - El servicio y el horario de funcionamiento de Sun Van reflejarán el servicio proporcionado por Sun Tran. El centro de reservas de Sun Van estará abierto de 7 a.m. a 4 p.m.

El Centro de Atención al Cliente permanecerá cerrado en el dia de Año Nuevo, y volverá a funcionar el sábado 26 de diciembre de 8 a.m. a 5 p.m.
Las siguientes oficinas de tránsito estarán cerradas el día de Año Nuevo. Tenga en cuenta que los edificios permanecen cerrados al público durante COVID-19. El personal regresará a la oficina el lunes 4 de enero.

Las actualizaciones del servicio de tránsito ocurren durante todo el año como un esfuerzo continuo para satisfacer las necesidades de la comunidad y mantener el sistema lo más conveniente, accesible y eficiente posible.
Las tarifas de tránsito siguen siendo gratuitas hasta al menos los fines de enero de 2021. Se requieren cubrebocas en todos los vehículos de tránsito.
Sun Tran brindará servicio de cada hora en todas las rutas en el día de Año Nuevo debido a un a cantidad baja de pasajeros viajando en los días festivos. En un domingo promedio, Sun Tran ofrece aproximadamente 16,000 viajes al día; sin embargo, en días festivos, Sun Tran ofrece menos de la mitad de esos paseos. El empleo de horarios reducidas también ayudará a Sun Tran a abordar la escasez de personal debido a la pandemia COVID-19.
