City of Tucson's Business Services Department Receives National Procurement Award of Excellence for 25th Year in a Row
The City of Tucson’s Business Services Department has received the distinguished Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award for the 25th year in a row, one of only five agencies nationwide to do so.
The AEP Award is from the National Procurement Institute, in partnership with 11 other professional sponsor organizations. It measures innovation, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes in public procurement. The award is dedicated to establishing and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, education, certification, development, leadership, and ethics.
“This award represents the diligence of our Shared Services Procurement team in ensuring the citizens of Tucson and the employees of the City receive the highest level of professional service and commitment to excellence," said Business Services Director Jeffrey A. Yates. "We are honored to receive this award and I am very proud of our team."
