Prioritizing Mental Health
We are all going through an unprecedented and unimaginable time. My husband and I both work full-time and have our three kids at home doing distance learning. We are lucky we have each other and our kids have the resources they need to succeed at home. So many others aren't as lucky. It's easy to let mental health slip through the cracks when other priorities - paychecks, food, rent/mortgage - are top of mind. However, ignoring our mental health is dangerous for us and our loved ones. Click here for general resources and support group information to help improve your mental health during the pandemic and beyond.

In July, we handed out over 12,000 free face masks as part of the #MaskUpTucson Initiative. In early August, we distributed over 4,000 more! Wearing a mask helps stop spread of COVID-19 and it's critical we continue to #MaskUp to protect our brothers and sisters. If you or your family are in need of masks, please contact us at ward4@tucsonaz.gov so we can get them to you. To find a free COVID-19 testing site near you, click here. |
On July 18, we co-hosted the Ward 4 vs. Ward 2 Blood Drive Challenge to collect this critical resource for our community. THANK YOU to all of you who came out (especially the four first-time donors!) and helped us collect 18 pints of blood. This is equal to saving 54 lives! We are so grateful to you and all American Red Cross Blood Donors each and every day. |

In addition to the above, we also hosted two fantastic virtual town halls with the Tucson Parks and Recreation Department and the Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (read more above!). Both of these departments provide critical resource to our community and have been working hard during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep our city safe and running. Contact them at the links above to ask questions and submit concerns.
