PRIMARY ELECTION UNDERWAY - Today, Aug. 4, is Election Day in Pima County. There are no City of Tucson offices being contested in the primary election, but there are many other races. If you still have your early ballot, you can drop it off at any polling place, but don't mail it. It won't arrive in time to be counted. Pima County is working to ensure that voters and poll workers are protected as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The workers have masks, plastic face shields, gloves, disinfectant spray, and hand sanitizer. Masks and proper social distancing are required for anyone who wishes to cast a ballot. If a voter does not have a mask, they will be provided one. The polls are open until 7 p.m. For additional voter information, contact the Pima County Recorder’s Office at (520) 724-4330.
