Welcome back, Gila Topminnow
Thanks to a newly adopted Safe Harbor Agreement the endangered Gila Topminnow may be swimming within the Santa Cruz River Heritage Project for the first time in nearly 100 years. According to Mayor Regina Romero, “This agreement is an important step for the city to work collectively and proactively with state and federal agencies to protect the native Gila Topminnow.”
