Tucson Food Share
We want to share the following information about Tucson Food Share, which provides free food for people who are facing shortages in these challenging times. Please share this information with anyone who needs food or works with people who may need food.
Tucson Food Share operates out of the Tallboys location at 600 N 4th Ave. Groceries are available, free, for pick-up twice a week. Delivery, if needed, is available once a week.
Everyone is welcome and no documentation is required. Food is received and distributed in a sanitary, controlled environment, and all volunteers follow strict hygiene protocols to prevent the spread of contagions. Of course, masks should be worn. [Note: For those who need masks, Tucson Food Share will be offering them as supplies allow.]
Even if you don’t feel that you’re “in need,” you are welcome and encouraged to come by and partake of the local organic produce, bulk staples, and other items that are shared. It can be a way to cut down on grocery-store trips and redirect some of your resources to local mutual aid efforts. If you can afford it, just toss a donation in the jar or contribute via the website tucsonfoodshare.org.
Delivery: (Within 12 miles of the 4th Ave location) Tuesday evenings To request a delivery if you are unable to pick up, visit tucsonfoodshare.org to fill out the request form. Direct link to the form: https://forms.gle/WLHsPYUCueQqATdQA . You can also request delivery by phone, 520-222-9242.
