Community Shout Out: Celebrating the "Mighty Nine"
Santa Cruz County would like to recognize our local Little League All Stars for an impressive and inspiring season. Their tournament run came to a close with a hard-fought game against a strong Goodyear team, but their commitment and teamwork stood out from start to finish.
This group began their journey with a simple goal: win one All-Star Game. They did that, and more, bringing home the District 8 Championship and competing with heart at the state tournament against some of the top teams in Arizona.
With just nine players, including four 10-year-olds, four 9-year-olds, and one determined 8-year-old. These young athletes demonstrated what can be accomplished through hard work, focus, and determination.
It was a genuine team effort, involving the players, coaches, families, and a supportive community.
Santa Cruz County congratulates this team on a season to remember. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for these outstanding young players.
