Donations of all kinds can help our pups

Our new Eastside PACC Adoptions Center is located at 7225 E. Broadway – in a shopping center just east of Broadway and Kolb. Outside the back door is our path to walking the dogs – there’s a nice, landscaped area just north of the parking lot, but in between the two is an asphalt parking lot. Asphalt in the summer gets toasty on the pups’ pads.

With thanks to a donor named Rick Rose, we were able to get some high-end white paint to help knock down the temps on the asphalt so when our pups head out for their walks they have some degree of protection from the heat. Actually, it’s 29 degrees of protection – that’s the difference we measured between the temperature of the asphalt vs. the painted walkway.

The application of the paint was the product of volunteers Scott and Charlie. Both at PACC and at EPAC, we couldn’t do what we do without our valued volunteers. And it didn’t take long before the pups were enjoying the fruits of Scott and Charlie’s labor. Here’s Shay and one of the EPAC pups coming back from their afternoon walk.

We get donations of all kinds. In this case, Rick provided a very practical in-kind donation that, thanks to the approval of our EPAC landlord Larsen Baker, we were able to use for the betterment of our animals.

So, this Scoop is a thanks to both donors and to volunteers – all of whom are keys to successfully operating our main shelter and the eastside location.

Stop into either of our adoption locations and add some fur to your household. Main PACC is at 4000 N. Silverbell – EPAC is located at 7225 E. Broadway. Both are open 7 days per week. You can see all of the animals available for adoption at both locations on our website.
