At PACC, we’re supported by a community that donates both their time, and in some cases, their money. We rely on volunteers to keep the ship afloat, and we rely on financial (and in-kind) donations to keep us financially solid.
This group calls themselves The Amateurs. I don’t know how many of them have bowled a 300 game, but I do know that those of us at PACC are grateful that their group thought of us as the recipient of their fundraising efforts. Yes, donations to Friends of PACC benefit the critters and the operations at the shelter.
Financial donations sometimes come with restricted-use conditions such as being used solely for spay/neuter, or for support of fosters, food or now the Eastside adoptions center. Some donations also come in unrestricted. All of the funds donated benefit the dogs and cats we’re responsible for.
We also rely on in-kind donations to keep our costs at a minimum. Friends of PACC posts a wish list on their website. Every day we receive boxes from Amazon and Chewy’s, all the result of the FOP outreach.
So, thank you to the Amateurs for their support, to the wider community for your ongoing support, and to FOP for the partnership they bring. It's thanks to all of them that so many of the life-saving activities that take place at PACC are made possible.
