Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program*

Broadway Boulevard from Tanque Verde Loop Road to east of Camino del Codorniz

Pima County, Ariz. (Apr 29) – On Friday, May 1, through Friday, June 12, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Sunland Asphalt & Construction, LLC, will be performing road work as part of Pima County’s Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program at the following segments:

  • Friday, May 1, through Wednesday, May 13: Asphalt removal, grading and paving on Broadway Boulevard from Freeman Road to the east end of the road
  • Tuesday, May 26, through Thursday, June 4: Asphalt removal, grading and paving on Broadway Boulevard from Tanque Verde Loop Road to east of Camino del Codorniz

The project will consist of setting traffic control, utility work, asphalt removal, grading, paving, and pavement marking.  Minor work may occur through the project range.

Flaggers and pilot car operation will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone.  Due to the work area limitations, turn movements within the project limits may be restricted during this work.  Minor delays and lane closures may also occur.  Please approach the area with caution, obey all traffic control devices and allow for extra travel time.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

*In Fiscal Year 2025/2026, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $26.5 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program.
