New meeting schedule for Pima County Board of Supervisors begins May 12
PIMA COUNTY, April 21, 2026 — Starting May 12, the Pima County Board of Supervisors will meet at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
The Board voted Jan. 6 to make the change, which was motivated by supervisors’ desire to make meetings more accessible to the public, including working families and individuals who might not be able to watch or attend morning meetings.
The Board currently meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month, with meetings starting at 9 a.m.
Beginning with the May 12 meeting, the Board will also hold a monthly study session prior to the first meeting of the month, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Any member of the Board or the County Administrator can put items on the study sessions agenda. Study sessions are open to the public.
The study sessions will not include a Call to the Public, but a Call to the Public will still be offered during the Board’s regularly scheduled meetings.
“This new schedule is going to be beneficial for everyone,” said Board of Supervisors Chair Jennifer Allen, who represents District 3.
“Moving our regular meeting time to later in the day will help to make our meetings more accessible to the public, and the addition of study sessions will help to keep our meetings more focused and efficient,” Allen said.
Moving the Board’s meetings to the second and fourth Tuesday of the month will also keep them from conflicting with the City of Tucson’s Mayor and Council meetings, which are held the first and third Tuesday of the month.
Public parking for the meetings is available on the street or at El Presidio Parking Garage, using the entrance at 165 W. Alameda St. The garage will remain open on meeting days until the meeting ends.
A full schedule of meetings through December, including study sessions, can be found at the Pima County Clerk of the Board’s page.
