All types of donations are helpful

An update from Steve Kozachik, PACC Director
April 20, 2026

dog food

We receive donations of all sorts at PACC – and our animals all appreciate the thoughtfulness of the community. Many of the donations come in the front door – like this 35 pound bag of dog food, pictured here.

Dean delivered it on behalf of a deceased friend (Devon Gardner) who had said he wanted to support PACC’s pets through his estate. We appreciate Devon, and we appreciate Dean for carrying out his wishes.

Donations can include food (unopened and unexpired, please,) bedding (no holes), enrichment toys – whatever your pet would appreciate, ours will too. And our non-profit partner, Friends of PACC, is set up to receive financial donations through estates, or simply through gifts people want to offer so they can see the results while they’re still alive.

You can reach out to Friends of PACC by looking through our Amazon Wish List or the Chewy Wish List. We get deliveries daily – and as Dean did, we get walk-ins as well.

Thanks to all who so generously support the work we’re doing on behalf of the Pima County critters in our care. Large or not-so-large, every donation is a part of getting animals into homes and forming new families. And every donation speaks to the wonderful heart for animals this community represents.
