These weekly Shelter Scoops are stories of some of the good news coming out of PACC.
Building families is one of the events that happens every day at the shelter, and recently, Juliette was the focal point of our adoption counselors playing a role in forming a new family.
Here’s Juliette with her new mom at her new home enjoying some TLC.
It looks like there’s a lot of love going around as this new relationship is formed. Juliette is a 3-year-old sweetie who did great in foster, and during her meet & greet showed a mellow attitude towards anyone who walked past the yard. Juliette had just weaned her puppies, so we sent her home with some meds to help relieve some of the post-nursing issues. That took a week or so, and in the meantime, you could see the bonding that’s already taking place.
Well, the meds wore off and Juliette’s own puppy energy popped back into play. Her new mom reached out to some of her family members for a little help working off some of Juliette’s energy. The Paul Harvey “Rest of the Story” is that she’s now full time in the home of the family member – adoption formally transferred – so everyone has the best of both worlds. Juliette is out of the shelter, in a new loving home, and the ‘original mom’ has all the visitation rights she’ll ever want.
We’re open 7 days each week, adopting and fostering out pets, forming new families. You can find all of the animals we have to offer at our website.
Stop in and find your own Juliette. We’ve got plenty to select from.
