USMCA

Positive trade relationships highlighted
at Future of North American Trade event

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs presented the finding of Arizona’s United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) Economic Study on Jan. 23, 2026, along with the Arizona-Mexico Commission (AMC).

The report highlights the significant positive benefits of trade relationships with Mexico and Canada and that Arizona’s business community largely supports retaining and enhancing, rather than renegotiating, the USMCA during this year’s joint review.

ABCC

Border counties updated
on port upgrades and FDI

County Supervisors and economic development leaders from Cochise, Pima, Santa Cruz, and Yuma counties gathered at the Arizona Border Counties Coalition’s (ABCC) first quarterly meeting of 2026 on January 22, at the Pima County Historic Courthouse.

Members of ABCC discussed critical regional priorities, with a focused agenda addressing port infrastructure modernization, foreign direct investment strategies, and the continued development of a unified regional messaging framework.

Tucson seeks redevelopment ideas for main library

The City of Tucson invites visionary partners to participate in a once-in-a-generation opportunity to share the civic heart of Downtown Tucson. 

A Request for Information (RFI) is now open through Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. Arizona time for redevelopment ideas for the Joel D. Valdez Main Library at 101 N. Stone Ave.

Pima County opened enrollment Feb. 2 for its longstanding and popular Summer Youth Employment Program.

The program is open to teens and young adults ages 14 to 21 who want to gain work experience, develop new skills and advance their education.
