PCED seeks consultant to map aerospace and defense assets
Pima County Economic Development is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive asset map of aerospace and defense companies and their adjacent industry partners in Southern Arizona.
This foundational research project will create a centralized database to enhance regional supply chain development, research collaboration, and strategic economic planning
Marana Chamber hits membership milestone
The Marana Chamber of Commerce recently achieved a major milestone, reaching 800 members. Founded 39 years ago, the organization’s growth reflects both its expanding impact and the continued growth of the Town of Marana.
President/CEO Amanda Wiggins has been guiding the organization since June 2021 and helped recharge the chamber after it struggled, like all businesses, during the pandemic. Amanda previously worked for a similar organization, Leadership Tallahassee, before she and her husband moved to Marana for her husband’s new job.

High school girls to explore STEM careers at SheTech
The seventh year of SheTech Explorer Day in Tucson will be held Feb. 12, 2026, at the University of Arizona Student Union.
SheTech Explorer Day is a country-wide, industry-centered, hands-on interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) exploration day for ninth through 12th grade high school girls. It is coordinated by the City of Tucson’s Office of Economic Initiatives. It was launched in Utah by Women Tech Council in 2014.
