Pima County Health clinics to provide COVID shots
PIMA COUNTY, Sept. 12, 2025 – Pima County Health Department Director Dr. Theresa Cullen has issued a standing order that will allow County Health clinics to administer the COVID-19 vaccine for most people who want one. The order aligns with a Sept. 11 Executive Order from Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs that stated medical providers should provide the vaccine in accordance with “nationally recognized professional clinical guidance that ensures the broadest possible access.”
Patients seeking the vaccine will be evaluated at County clinics or via a tele-evaluation under this same clinical guidance, Cullen said. County COVID vaccination supplies are limited, so she also encouraged the public to contact their medical providers or area pharmacy clinics for COVID and other seasonal vaccinations. Additional COVID vaccine supply for County clinics is expected soon, she said.
To make an appointment, Cullen encouraged the public to go online and view County clinic locations and hours, and call the clinic they prefer to make an appointment.
The Health Department also is planning vaccination clinics in October that will provide flu shots in addition to COVID. Locations and times for those clinics will be released soon.
