An update from Steve Kozachik, PACC Director
Vol. 1, No. 37 - September 2, 2025
 Help comes in many forms
One thing that’s consistent throughout the shelter is that all of our critters have to eat. They’ve got varying diets, eat varying amounts, but they eat – a lot. This Scoop is to thank all who help us with food donations. We get Amazon trucks pretty much daily with all sorts of goodies you can find on our Amazon Wish List and what you select will be delivered right to our front door. Thank you if you’re already in that habit – and thank you for those who may be inclined to hop on that bandwagon.
It's common for our front entry to be stacked with all sorts of donations – many of which are food for the animals. We always leave an aisle for you to maneuver past if you’ve got meetings scheduled, and storing the boxes of food to make way is a part of our labor of love.
In addition to the donations we receive at the shelter, we also have partners out in the community who are dedicated to helping feed the animals. Throughout the month of September, Ghini’s over on Blacklidge is offering Pup Cups for anyone who brings their PACC-adopted critter to their restaurant. They’ve got a great outdoor patio and welcome you and your furry mate. See their promo at left.
Our animal census hovers around 500 daily for dogs and 100 cats. Food costs are a large portion of our annual budget – your support is tremendous and we are grateful for all of it.
So thanks to the community that steps up in support of our work at PACC. Food (and bedding, toys, etc. – check the wish list) are a big part of helping us make shelter life tolerable for as long as the pups and cats are here waiting for their forever home.
Stop in and visit during September and plan a night out at Ghini’s with your new family member. Thanks for your support.
